Our belief in the power of diversity at the top is deeply rooted; & Female Capital was founded eight years ago, well before the introduction of the Dutch Diversity Act on January 1, 2022. This law, aimed at companies within the top 5000, requires annual reporting on gender diversity in top and sub-top positions to the Social-Economic Council (SER). The target? Encouraging a balanced male-female ratio in leadership positions.

Despite an almost equal distribution between men and women in the population, and the fact that women are often better educated, the number of female leaders in the Netherlands lags behind. This, while diversity undeniably contributes to success. Research (e.g. McKinsey, 2021) shows that companies with a balanced gender distribution among their managers not only perform better financially, but also achieve more sustainable and socially responsible results.

A key problem is the traditional recruitment and selection approach, which often unintentionally limits women's opportunities. & Female Capital plays a crucial role in this; We ensure that both our long and shortlists consist exclusively of qualified female candidates, and we provide them with intensive guidance throughout the entire selection process.

We also support organizations in their transformation towards a more diverse and inclusive corporate culture. This includes analyzing current management potential and advising on strategies for promoting diversity.

Our commitment to this cause is also reflected in our early signing of the Executive Search Code of Talent naar de Top, an initiative to promote diversity at the top of the Dutch business community.
